A Tale of New Beginnings
Hobsons Distillery began as a desire for change and is a nod to the founder’s ancestors. They travelled from Lancashire, England on the SS Great Britain, landing at Hobsons Bay in 1869, seeking a better life. The distillery was founded in 2020 in Altona North, part of the Hobsons Bay municipality. The first gin was released in December 2022 and was the first step towards a tale of new beginnings, just as was the arrival of his ancestors in 1869.
